Surfing the web today I came across this service that looks as if it would be helpful for some of my readers. Its for people with smart phones. The program allows you to input your list of ingredients to avoid (gluten, casein, soy, red dye, high fructose corn syrup, etc.) and when you scan a bar code from a product it will tell you if the product is safe for your kiddos. I don't have a smart phone but this may be handy for those of you that do have them. Click this post title up above to go to the Scan Avert web site.
Hey just added this from the app store for my Iphone it's 1.99....not bad..I'll let you all know how it works out ( p.s. Tara can't thank you enough about telling me of the benefits of Zinc, no Jakes not magically eating fruits and veg like I was hoping for..not yet at least, however he's calmer, more focused, comprehension has improved....it was really quite suttle at first almost so much so that I firgured it wasn't even working...but then I stopped and really looked at everyday life. Example: trying to get Jake out of the pool when swim time was over, it was counting, ordering, raising my voice, begging, and last but not least the threat of

All in which none worked, and I ended up looking like a pretty sorry excuse for an athoritve figure....now on to the good..no great part...now I sign and tell him we're all done and bam!! He's like okay..grabs his towel, toys, and shoes and out the gate we go....freaking amazing!! I look
forward to all the changes to come)
Well alright then good for you on all the progress! The biomed stuff is normally like that, you have to be on for a while before changes appear. It also does take a much more observant parent to notice these small changes that eventually make big changes so good for you for being your baby's best advocate! When I get a letter from a parent that's made progress like this it just gives me chills and reminds me of why I am doing this. So thank you so much for posting and letting me know how things are going for you, it's fule for my fire. Oh yeah I almost forgot, the effects of the zinc will get stronger and better after he's on for a few months too so I am sure you have more to look forward to. I got Jackson to where he is by adding zinc (and all the other essential vitimins in BULK perscribed by his DAN) then trying, trying, trying new veggies. Not only try them but find out how your kiddo likes them served. For instance Jackson would eat steamed, sliced carrots at first but not raw or whole. After serving steamed for a few months I kept trying to get him to eat raw carrots with dip and now he actually does. As with all the veggies he eats it took a while and some effort but the effort pays off. So don't expect him to dive into a chef salad yet...LOL, but he'll get to his own little version of that if you stick with it. If you would like to talk further about the benefits of the other vitamins just post here and I will get back to you :) Each one in the right doses will add to his development in different areas. This is also pretty exciting to watch. Thanks again for posting,
